We arrived at Dachau to foggy weather. The memorial is full of emotion and the weather often lends to the somber mood of the space. Dachau is the first prototype work camp of the nazi regime. The space is now a memorial to the idea of "never forget." As such, it is a sobering reminder of the past. Our guide was very informative and knowledgable . He filled the students with overwhelming reality about the places we stood. The students were visably moved by the experience.
After a quick lunch we ventured to Munich for several hours of free time. More walking, sightseeing and eventually meeting up at the glockenspiel.
